1. Summary
Task & Pause is a native iOS app developed by Tanveer Hussain. It works offline. The app has no account, no ads and no third-party tracking SDKs, and it does not send your tasks, check-ins, reflections, session history or settings to the developer.
The app itself sends information off your device only when you direct it to — for example, when you export a backup file or email support. Apple device and iCloud backups follow your iOS settings. These cases are described below.
2. Information stored on your device
To work, the app stores the following on your device:
- Tasks: names, dates, durations, effort, categories, completion and repeat details
- Energy check-ins and intentions
- Reflection notes and tags
- Focus and rest session times and durations
- The state of a running timer
- Settings such as theme, daily goal, audio, haptics and motion
App data is saved as a local JSON file in the app’s Application Support container. Simple theme and motion preferences are also kept in local UserDefaults. Insights and streaks are calculated on your device and are not sent to any analytics service.
3. Permissions
The only permission the app may ask for is optional notification authorization, used for local alerts when a session ends. The app does not register for remote push notifications.
Core features do not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, health data or calendar. Ambient sounds are generated on the device; the app does not record audio. When you import or export a file, access is limited to the file or location you pick in the system file picker.
4. Optional backups
The app has no built-in automatic sync and no developer cloud storage. You can export a backup JSON file. It contains your app content and preferences and is not encrypted by the app. Active timers are not included.
You decide where to save it — on your device, in iCloud Drive or with another provider. Those providers have their own privacy policies. Apple device or computer backups may also include local app data, depending on your device settings.
The developer does not receive a backup unless you deliberately send one.
5. Retention and deletion
Your information stays in the app’s local storage until you edit or delete it, reset it, or delete the app. Erase all app data in Your space resets the active dataset.
Exported files, and copies inside device or cloud backups, must be managed and deleted separately by you or through the provider. The developer cannot remotely access, recover or erase the plans stored on your device.
6. Contacting support
If you email support, the developer receives your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. This is used to respond to your inquiry. Email service providers process this correspondence.
Please avoid sending sensitive notes or full backups unless necessary. You can ask about deletion of your support correspondence by emailing tanveer04555@gmail.com.
7. Sharing and tracking
The native app uses no advertising network or analytics SDK, does not sell app data, does not track you across other apps or websites, and has no developer cloud synchronization.
Services you choose yourself — such as a backup location or your email provider — and Apple platform services (for example, the App Store, notifications and iOS backups) operate under their own terms and policies.
8. Children
The app has no account and does not automatically collect personal information. Children should not send personal information in support messages; a parent or guardian can contact support on their behalf.
9. This website
This public support website is separate from the offline app. We have not added visitor analytics, advertising, forms or tracking cookies to it.
Like any website, its hosting provider may process technical request information — such as IP address and browser details — to deliver and secure the site. Email providers likewise process messages you send. These providers handle that data under their own policies.
10. Updates and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
